first of all, I don't think that I am doing this VERY SIGNIFICANT EVENT enough justice by posting it a week after it happened, but I have been swamped with a lot of work since its the end of the semester...

as you all know, Alessandra was in Miami promoting Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Makeup, after which she was scheduled to meet fans and sign autographs for 2 hours... well, I started waiting in line around 11 AM that morning (there were only 4 people in line ahead of me at the time )... as time went by, however, the line had grown to about 40 or 50 strong... Oscar, the guy behind me in line was a foreman at a construction site who skipped work to see Ale ...

Ale was first sighted around 11:40, and everyone drew a sharp breath when we noticed how gorgeous and especially how tall she looked in person... she was inside the store getting interviewed, and although a couple of people managed to snap a few pictures of her, the VS people stopped us from taking any more pictures as they weren't allowed... in the next 10 minutes, some personnel set up speakers and signs, while a lady came around and took everyone's name down and gave us a Post-It note to give to Ale when its our turn to get an autograph... we started at 12:10 PM or so, and Ale looked stunning... seriously, people who were passing by outside the store (not just the fans) were awestruck by how naturally beautiful she looked...

Well I got over to see Ale pretty soon, and I had made a big 12" by 18" birthday card for her... I had it behind my back, and after I said hi to Ale, I asked her what date it was... she looked a little confused, then she smiled and said "April 11th I think"... I said, "well I'm glad I brought this along" and I gave her the big ol card... the VS personnel tried to snatch it away, apparently I was breaking protocol or something but Ale stopped them and took the card... I wished her a happy birthday and she said thanks, and she told me she would keep the card and remember it... she even asked me my name on the forum ... Ale if you're reading this, I hope you liked the card, feel free to drop by and post me a ...

The first few people in line, including myself, tried to stick around and get a group picture taken with Ale... the VS people were being really strict on pictures though, they wouldn't even let Oscar (who I had become friends with by now) get a shirt signed by Ale because it was Armani, and not Victoria's Secret ... a couple of people got their IPods autographed by Ale but the VS people tried to stop them too... eventually the 5 or 6 people who waited for a picture (myself included), who were being discouraged a lot from pictures and asked to leave a couple of times, were told by a lady to meet her at 1:30, and she would try her best to ask the VS people to allow a couple of pictures with Ale... Ale herself was ready and willing, so sweet of her, but it was company policy or something... however, at 1:40, the lady came back and said she could let us have one group picture taken only... when Ale heard this, however, she insisted we all get solo pictures taken with her ... so sweet of her... I forgot to get a proper camera, and Ale had only a couple of minutes to spare, so I got a pic taken with her on my camera phone at 1:41 ... wow!!! my life's objective had just been completed, I was one of only a handful of people who had a photo taken with Ale that day!!! Ale thanked me once again for the birthday card (dunno why she kept thanking me, I should be the one thanking her, but my pulse was 225 at the time!!!) and gave me a hug before moving on to take snaps with some more fans

Ale if you're reading this, I wanna thank you once again... the reason you have over 6,000 fans on this forum and millions of adorers worldwide is that you give back to your fans in this way... I'm glad to say that Alessandra Ambrosio is as down-to-earth as anyone despite being one of the world's most famous and recognizable supermodels... you make us proud to be your fans Ale, and I hope to have the chance to meet you again
